Look up both the clinician and the pharmacy

Get the names used for the clinician’s licence and the dispensing pharmacy’s record. Search those names rather than only the name on the website.

The records behind the names

Find the clinician’s board record

A state medical board’s public records show whether a doctor holds a licence and any public disciplinary action.

Follow the medical-board directory to the board that covers your state.

Choose the board that covers your location during care.

Compare the record with the clinician’s supplied licence details.

Ask which board holds your doctor’s licence record. Some states have different boards for different medical degrees.

Ask which licensing board applies if the clinician is not a doctor.

Use the pharmacy’s own name

FDA means the US medicines agency.

Use FDA’s pharmacy search page to reach the licensing records kept by each state.

A matching licence entry confirms a licence, not the appropriateness of every prescription.

Request the name of the pharmacy that actually prepares and sends the medicine.

Match it with the state record rather than a badge in an advert.

Ask the state board about any mismatch before treating the check as complete.

Ask what a badge actually means

A facility can be listed with FDA without its products being approved by FDA; this distinction was checked on September 26, 2026.

A record check answers a narrow question.

Return to the evidence, product status and follow-up plan as separate questions.

Keep the names and records with the written quote.
