Ask and decide

Questions that make a care offer easier to weigh

Pick the questions that are still unanswered. Take the wording as a starting point and make it sound like you.

Benefit, product, unknowns and payment

Ask about the benefit

Bring the conversation back to the change that matters to you.

  • What exactly are we trying to change?
  • Which study in people supports that change?
  • Did the study use the same substance and form?
  • How will we tell whether my goal has been met?

Ask about the product and the person

FDA means the US medicines agency.

FDA has noted a gap in online compounded care: the patient may not be told who made the drug.

  • What is the exact ingredient and finished product?
  • Please name the pharmacy that makes it so I can check its record.
  • Which rule permits this preparation?
  • Who makes the prescribing decision and who answers later questions?

Ask about the parts that are unknown

Epitalon is a man-made peptide.

For epitalon, FDA’s July 2026 review found no studies that checked safety in people.

  • What is still unknown about the proposed care?
  • What would make you advise against this plan?
  • What other ways of addressing my concern can we discuss?
  • Can I take the written plan away before deciding?

Ask about the money

Use the cost worksheet to keep the answers beside each other.

  • What is due for the assessment alone?
  • What repeats, and what is billed separately?
  • What do I owe if no medicine is prescribed?
  • How do I end the arrangement?
