Ask and decide

Choose the next conversation from the missing answer

Choose the unresolved question that matters most to your decision. Take that question to the person or record that can answer it.

Match the missing answer to a next step

If the product is still unclear

Return to the written proposal before comparing treatment claims.

  • Ask for the ingredient, finished form and proposed use.
  • Ask who prepares it and which record supports its status.
  • Keep different products in a package on separate lines.

If the evidence is the missing piece

Reports about longer life in people used epithalamin, a mixture taken from a gland in cattle brains. They do not show that the different, man-made peptide epitalon extends life.

  • Request research that used this precise substance.
  • Match its measured outcome to your goal.
  • Bring the remaining gap to the clinician rather than filling it with a headline.

If the care route is the question

The national group of state medical boards recommends sending a patient for an in-person examination when that is needed to assess the problem.

This recommendation is guidance for state boards, rather than a law by itself.

  • Ask how that referral would work before choosing the remote route.
  • Compare who answers questions afterward, as well as whether the visit is in person, by phone or by video.

If the commitment is the concern

Use the itemised quote and the answers from your health plan as the basis for the next discussion.

  • Keep unanswered costs blank on the worksheet.
  • Ask for the cancellation terms in writing.
  • Taking time to review is a possible next step.
  • Return to the comparison when the missing answer is clear.
